Transportation

When it comes to getting around, Thailand's choice of transportation will amaze you!
Airlinks to Bangkok from all over the world are excellent and , whilst you may arrive by Jumbo jet you could soon find yourself on an entirely different type of Jumbo-Thailand's beloved elephant.

No other country offers you a wider choice of transportation. Bangkok International Airport at Don Muang is one of Asia's premier aviation hubs serving more than 60 international airlines on a round-the clock basis. You can also fly direct to the major gateways of Phuket, Chiang Mai and Hat Yai.

Thailand's cities are served by an extensive domestic network of flights by Thai Airways International and other carriers.

Getting around Thailand by air is fast and convenient with most domestic services taking little more than an hour or so. It's so easy with full schedule of flights and amazingly inexpensive.

On the ground, groups can be moved by fleets of air-conditioned motor coaches and minivans.

In the capital, billions of Baht have been spent on constructing extensive network of expressways and flyovers and an overhead railway system and underground subway are also under construction.

Chauffeur driven Limousines are surprisingly inexpensive and a vast fleet of air-conditioned, metered taxis makes getting around Bangkok convenient and cheap.

The Chao Phraya River, which runs through Bangkok and the network of klongs (canals), offers numerous river boats services and river taxis. But for the most famous and loved form of transport you simply must try a Tuk-Tuk - a motorised trishaw. It's noisy, exciting and rather like taking a fairground ride and will certainly be an experience to remember.

Train services are available to the provinces and your group can travel in unsurpassed luxury aboard the Eastern and Oriental Express from the southern tip of Thailand to the northern capital of Chiang Mai.

However large or small you group, Thailand can offer you an unsurpassed variety of transportation options. The choice is yours. When it comes to getting around-Thailand is the Preferred Destination.
